We were shown instructions on how to digital paint in the lesson which was the first time I've ever began using a tablet before so I knew that I had to develop my skills as fast as possible to catch up with some of my class mates instead of being left behind. In the class we were given the task of painting the drawing of a warrior caterpillar where we would learn how to develop shading and uses of colour and then how to render the image.
To start off we painted where shadows would be developed on the character then took it way to paint in colour which we were given a colour palette to use from.
Next I put both of them together to develop more of a 3D look using multiply on the colour and the shadow so I could see the lines that I painted over on.
