Design a Futuristic Room


To get the basic shape of the room we used this image as a guide line of what the outcome had to look like using the idea of rooms set in the future.

For inspiration I began looking into film such as sitting area from Alien to a room from the stationary room on Hoth in the Empire Strikes Back.  

 







My Final Design
What I wanted to produce was an underwater themed design where the facility has been left due to the breach of water from the window.

Creatures with Tentacles

We were told to develop a creature that has tentacles so by searching in books on sea life from octopus's, squids and jelly fish where I found similarities and diffences between them. then I produced this mind map of creatures of reality to fiction such as comic book villains and film portrayals of sea creatures.

Here are some quick designs I came up with of creatures that use tentacles.

Swamp Monster.

When designing my character I chose the sketch that I made of the tree looking figure then combined it with my mood board pic of Spiderman's Carnage which ended up giving me the idea of a Swamp Monster.
Here you can see the basic colour sequence I was going for as a basic layer where I really started to colour in the details of the body creating the skin.

Here I added the tentacles around the body weaving in and out and around consuming the character completely.

This is the final design I came up with that included tentacles. This was a really fun project to be handed with due to the many possibilities that I want to go with this.
